Tinejdžer je optužen za napastvovanje i ubistvo šestogodišnjakinje na ostrvu Bjut, iako je prethodno jednoj ženi pokušao da namesti zločin.

Beživotno telo Aleše Mekfal otkriveno je u šumi 2. jula prošle godine. Šesnaestogodišnji momak negirao je da ju je izvukao iz kreveta uz pretnju noža, zlostavljao je i ubio. Golo telo devojčice nađeno je na zemljištu bivšeg hotela "Kajls Hidropatik".

Forenzičari su utvrdili da je uzrok smrti "pritisak na vrat i lice". Odbačeni šorts, gaćice i prsluk nađeni su u blizini.

Optuženi se branio imenujući ženu koja je navodno počinila zločin. On je porekao namere, kao i da je sakrio odeću i nož. Negirao je da ju je odveo u napušteni hotel, bio nasilan i napastvovao je, nanoseći joj povrede.

The six-year-old girl vanished while staying with her dad and grandparents - and was found dead three hours later Alesha MacPhail was reported missing from her home in Rothesay, Isle of Bute, at 6.25pm on Monday, July 2, 2018. A frantic search was launched and a body was discovered almost three hours later at the site of a former hotel. On July 5 cops charged a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder after a huge police appeal for information. The teen, understood to be known to the family, was arrested the evening before. Following an appearance at Greenock Sheriff Court on July 6 it emerged the teenager had also been charged with rape. Officers have not specified how Alesha, a pupil at Chapelside Primary School in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, died. It is understood the six-year-old was staying with her dad Robert and grandparents Calum and Angela MacPhail on the island. Robert was seen hunting for his daughter "white as a sheet" and calling out her name. Members of Angela's family claimed the grandparents, who had been looking after Alesha for part of the summer holidays, had tried to make contact with her mum. It has also been reported that Alesha’s mum only found out her daughter was missing and, later, about her death via Facebook. Mum Georgina Lochrane, 23, saw a post by the child’s grandmother which said: “Alesha has gone missing from our house please help look for her.” Georgina then commented on the post asking: “Someone tell me what’s happened that's my daughter.” After making the heart-breaking discovery that Alesha had been found dead, she wrote: “That’s my f***** daughter.” Alesha's body was discovered in woodland on the site of the abandoned Kyles of Bute Hydropathic Hotel. The hotel was demolished in the 1970s and is only around a 20 minute walk from where she vanished. Alešin nestanak je prijavila njena baka Andžela King oko 18:23 časova po lokalnom vremenu, 2. jula. Njeno telo je nađeno istog dana oko 21 čas. Sudija je istakao da je otisak prsta koji pripada optuženom nađen na stolici na mestu zločina, 11. jula.

Optuženi se izjasnio nevinim. Veruje se da je oprao ruke i nož na obali u blizini hotela.
